1. Festival Period, Location & Venues (개최 시기, 지역 및 장소)
- Festival Period (개최 시기): The 2026 festival runs for three days, from Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day. Event details may change at the organizer’s discretion.
- Location & Venue (지역 및 장소): Held in Gumi-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, in the old downtown area around Gumi Station, including Yeokjeon-ro, Munhwa-ro, Geumri-dan-gil, and Saemaeul Jungang Market.
- Why Gumi (구미가 라면의 도시인 이유): Gumi hosts Nongshim’s ramen production plant, and the festival links this industry with local food culture, tourism, and shopping streets to create an urban tourism festival.
- Online Qualifier (온라인 예선): Before the festival, the Global Ramen Challenge online qualifier drew 1,263 participants from 80 countries, and 13 finalists advanced to the on-site final on November 7.

Round-trip fares are 59,000 KRW from Seoul, 45,000 KRW from Busan, and 25,000 KRW from Daegu. Each route only operates if there is enough demand, so check booking availability in advance.
- By Train (기차 이용): The festival site is centered on Gumi Station, which makes train travel convenient. Check the latest timetables and train types on the Korail website or app, as high-speed services may require a transfer.
- By Intercity Bus (고속·시외버스 이용): Express and intercity buses connect Gumi with Seoul and other major cities. Book early for the festival weekend.
